OUR BEGINNING
A FAITHFUL HERITAGE
Gishen Mariam Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Monastery & Church was founded with a vision to create a spiritual home where the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ are preserved, practiced, and passed on.
Inspired by the rich spiritual heritage of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, our community was established to serve as a place of prayer, worship, learning, and service.
From humble beginnings, by God’s grace and the dedication of the faithful, Gishen Mariam has grown into a vibrant community of believers.
